David’s
Rottweiler “Cassius” had died suddenly in June 1993.
He was an incredible dog and we were both very attached to him. (Cas had a complete story of his own). Although we loved Rotties, David wished to change breeds and
hopefully get a nice dog that we could show and do some obedience training
with. We
knew an Akita that lived around the corner and had fallen in love with him.
After considerable research, we decided that Akitas were the breed
for us. We
purchased “Shogun” from Toni Eldridge of Moonstorm Akitas in September
1993. When
we walked in the front door of our house, David said to this 8 week old
puppy, “You
have got some big shoes to fill boy”!
If you can be half the dog Cassius was, I’ll be happy”!! He must have listened because the rest is history!!!!
