Our names are David Klingberg and Wendy Osborn.  Our love of dogs has seen us involved in the dog world in one way or another for most of our lives.  David began instructing obedience classes in 1983 and Wendy was in his first class.  David was an instructor at one of Adelaide's most highly respected private training schools - Dog Obedience and Guidance Service (D.O.G.S.).

Our life with Akitas began in 1993, producing our first litter in 1996.  We are dedicated to preserving what we believe is the greatest breed of dog in the world.  We are constantly striving to produce the best quality Akitas, in soundness, type and temperament.  We rarely breed more than one litter per year and only breed after extensive research and when we are convinced that a mating will help to improve the quality of Akitas we are producing.

All our dogs at Shokuma Akitas receive basic obedience training as a minimum.  All pups are well socialised before leaving us, so settling into a new home is done with a minimum of fuss.
